BHHU ATRA was a part of regional networking workshop for conservation NGOs, whose purpose is focusing on biodiversity conservation in region. Our active member, Ana Ćurić, represented BHHU ATRA. Workshop was held in Sarajevo, 11th – 12th September, 2018 and was organized by IUCN Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ECARO) and Association Hyla, Croatia, funded by MAVA.

The overall goal of workshop was to foster regional cooperation among NGOs working in nature conservation and to further build the regional network of conservation NGOs.

Regional organizations GIZ and CEPF/Birdlife presented their funding in the region and regional perspective on conservation networks and capacity building, with the main goal to help interested NGOs to establish stronger connections and achieve their goals through funding and additional education proposing.

There were 13 NGOs from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia and Macedonia. NGOs representatives presented their organizations and future plans and projects and potential needed collaborations.

One of the final outcomes of the workshop was forming a NGOs list with specific technical and institutional capacity as well as their main interest and activity.
